Short Films & Content
Beguiling by ishkwaazhe Shane McSauby
The BLIS Collective supported a short-film that premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival that explores a burgeoning romance between two Indigenous people that takes a sinister turn as one grows suspicious of the other. When confronted, deceit turns their romantic evening into a darkly comedic nightmare.
Cultural Organizing
D.C. Cheddar
The BLIS Collective is sponsoring local Washington D.C., soccer team, D.C. Cheddar, for the 2025-2026 season. D.C. Cheddar will carry the BLIS logo on the field and partner with us and movement groups in D.C. to engage in political education and grassroots organizing efforts. This partnership blends, sport, culture, and activism, creating a dynamic platform for building community power and advancing liberation on and off the field.
Reparative Futures
The BLIS Collective is partnering with Multitude Films and Brown Girls Doc Mafia to support the production of a series of short documentary films offering transformative visions for reparations and Land Back. BLIS will host a Movement Integration Lab to ensure the films support narrative and power building for the movements for reparations and Land Back.
Braided Narrative by Garrison Hayes
The BLIS Collective partnered with Garrison Hayes to produce a video that braids the narratives of the Black reparations and Indigenous Land Back movement. The video has amassed over 250,000 views on Hayes’ TikTok.
